As a Clinical Research Assistant at Children’s National Hospital, I supported the conduct of IMPACT DCs clinical research studies under the direction of Dr. Stephen Teach. I performed research, data, and administrative tasks using a working knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP) guidelines, and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations to ensure ethical, compliant study operations.

As a CRA, I was responsible for making CNH the highest recruitment source in the nation for two studies. I identified, recruited, and educated eligible participants, reviewed informed consent documents, collected vital signs, and prepared materials for research visits. I also conducted protocol-specific interviews and assessments, assisted with regulatory documentation in accordance with sponsor and institutional requirements, and supported the coordination of research specimen collection and shipping.
