Upper Georgia Avenue Main Street
Program Manager
As the Upper Georgia Avenue Main Street Manager, I work to strengthen and support the Upper Georgia Avenue commercial corridor by helping local small businesses thrive, connecting merchants with resources, and creating opportunities for community engagement.
My role spans small business support, grant management, marketing, community outreach, and facade improvement initiatives. I also manage the corridor’s social media presence and communications, helping tell the story of the businesses, people, and projects that make Upper Georgia Avenue unique.
A major part of my work is developing and managing programs that directly invest in local businesses. Behind the scenes, I manage reporting, program administration, partnerships, and day-to-day operations to ensure our initiatives are impactful, organized, and aligned with the needs of the Upper Georgia Avenue community.

Key Projects
Braids N Fades Back-to-school Salon Week
I also design and manage promotions like the Braids N’ Fades Salon Week, where Ward 4 students 18 and under, returning to school this fall, could receive a style or haircut fully subsidized by the main street at six participating locations.
Events like these celebrate the community and drive visibility to local beauty and barber businesses, while coordinating local families with key resources.
Art All Night “Lite”
I lead the planning and execution of community events and activations, including Upper Georgia Avenue Main Street’s participation in DC Art All Night. From coordinating artists and vendors to developing marketing campaigns and engaging neighborhood partners, I work to create experiences that bring people to the corridor and encourage them to shop, dine, and connect locally.
Upper Georgia Avenue Small Business Challenge Grant
I administered the Upper Georgia Avenue Challenge Grant, distributing $34,000 in funding to more than 20 small businesses for projects that support their growth and strengthen the corridor.
signage and placemaking
I lead placemaking, signage, and mural projects that help create a more vibrant, welcoming, and recognizable Upper Georgia Avenue. From developing creative concepts and coordinating artists and partners to managing installations and promoting completed projects, I use art and design to activate public spaces, celebrate the corridor’s identity, and create stronger connections between businesses and the community.
