As the Volunteer Coordinator, I trained and handled animals (dogs, small mammals, reptiles, and cats) in the D.C.s largest and only open-access shelter. In addition, I trained volunteers on animal handling, managed relevant classes, and maintained animal facilities and safety.

My administrative duties included volunteer event planning, management of online digital registration platforms and pet medical data platforms, draft of the weekly newsletter, and other design and communications needs of the Volunteer Department. I have a great passion for care and improving the lives of all creatures.
